Cristine Carpenter, Vantage Point Consulting co-founder and President, is an 11-year US Navy veteran with a background in human resources management. Prior to founding Vantage Point, Cristine worked in HR for the US Patent & Trademark Office. Cristine enjoys painting, sharing time at concerts and museums with her two daughters, and crafting new fusion cuisines. Cristine has lived in the Philippines, England, Italy, and France as well as Los Angeles, New York, Louisville and Washington, DC, infusing the richness of experiences into her work, cooking, and art. Cristine’s appreciation for diverse cultures shapes Vantage Point’s deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplace and in our work.
Jeffrey Carpenter, a Vantage Point Consulting Co-founder, serves as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Business Development and has over 20 years’ experience in management and technology consulting. His user-research and data-backed approach to solution design draws from his diverse experiences at IBM, PwC, and Vantage Point. Jeffrey is a Cal Berkeley alum, earned his EdD from UPenn GSE and a dual MBA and MPP from Georgetown University. Jeff is an avid traveler and loves trail running with his trusty Samoyed, Berkeley.
Harold Tran, VP of Operations and Finance at Vantage Point, brings a wealth of management consulting experience from Andersen Consulting, Accenture, and Slalom. Harold passionately pursues harnessing educational technology for the betterment of society – working to revolutionize learners’ journeys and contributing to a brighter future through innovative solutions. Harold enjoys golfing, tough mudder-ing, and rooting on Seattle sports teams!
Travis Mantiply, Vice President of Technology, contributes 20+ years of Technology Consulting experience where he has led the successful adoption of modern technologies, innovations, and groundbreaking solutions at IBM, Vantage Point, and within the sectors of Higher Education, the DoD, and Healthcare. Travis is an alumnus of Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business, and in his free time enjoys history, art, golf, and backcountry adventures.
Wendy has 20+ years of consulting experience in both the Federal and State Government sectors. Her specialization includes Business Development, Project Leadership, Strategic Planning, Change Management with emphasis in Military Initiatives, Higher Education and Workforce Development. She holds degrees from the University of Hawaii and the University of South Florida and is Prosci® Change Practitioner and ICAgile Project Management certified.
Ruth is a Higher Ed Consultant and a QA Analyst. For over two decades her journey has been marked by a passion for leveraging technology and processes to enhance the educational experience of the military community while aiding Academic Institutions to ensure that their infrastructure complements and supports the military learner’s educational journey. Ruth is invigorated by the ever-evolving landscape of technology, and her steadfast commitment to excellence, quality, and innovation continues to drive her professional endeavors.
Stephanie has been with Vantage Point since 2017 and is a seasoned Higher Education professional with over 20 years' work history in higher education. Her experience includes Director of Delivery Excellence, Program Manager, Director of Advisement and Admissions, Financial Aid and Veterans Administration (VA). She demonstrates servant leader traits and successfully communicates effectively and strives to deliver superb customer outcomes and exceptional satisfaction to the client.
Su-Mei has accumulated over 20 years of experience in analyzing business processes to gain insight and provide data to support improvements and optimizations. Having worked with the Army School Support team for years, she offered valuable advice to academic institutions concerning Army policies. Her skills include BI dashboard development, data analytics, data management, data visualization, and data cleaning.
Susan has over 20 years of strategic consulting experience in postsecondary education, and a lifetime of "military experience" as an Army brat. She enjoys family time with her partner and daughter, fishing and crabbing on the Northern Neck of Virginia, and pursuing her side hustle as an audiobook narrator.
Tania D'Angelo is an agile and accomplished IT professional with extensive hands-on experience ranging from Software Development, DevSecOps, Cybersecurity and Security Engineering, and Management. She has a Bachelor's Degree from Rutgers University and a Full Stack Software Development Certificate from Bottega Tech.
Jackson embraces his role in connecting organizations with the education, career, and workforce products they need to help their workers and learners forge and thrive along their own distinct path. He helps teams sharpen initial ideas into concrete plans through facilitation and guidance -- and will develop any skill that is needed to ensure success (from BI and data analysis to video editing and production to AI prompt engineering and beyond).
Chris has over 9 years experience architecting, designing, and implementing full stack cloud based solutions.His domain knowledge includes Cloud Development, Big Data, AI and Security Engineering. In his spare time, Chris enjoys rock climbing, rowing, and spending time with his two dogs.
Alex Devillier is a Senior Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience in comprehensive web application development, including frontend, backend, API integration, and devops. He is an alumnus of Louisiana State University, holding degrees in Computer Engineering, Business, and Information Technology Management.
Tim is a retired Army Armor Officer who believes in finding key terrain which is an area in life or business which affords a marked advantage. While on active duty, he served in Command and Staff leadership positions for both combat and training organizations. Tim currently supports the Department of Defense Voluntary Education community by helping Service members shift left decisions, resulting in career readiness in and out of the military.
Eric has over 25 years of enterprise architecture, web application architecture, design, development and IT management experience. He has been instrumental in numerous contractual negotiations, technical proposals and contract awards. He has designed and developed applications for the Federal Government as well as the commercial and private sector. When not working Eric enjoys movies, music, games and spending time with his family and pets.
Marc is a retired Naval Oceanographer and self-declared life-long learner & data geek. He currently supports the Voluntary Education community through the Career Ready Portfolio and is motivated to help Service members, Counselors, and Decision Makers make sense of all the data. Broadly, Marc has extensive experience leading large, technically oriented organizations providing products and information for big-data applications. In his free time, Marc enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, and tending his garden.
Dr. Lauren Collier is a Higher Ed jill-of-all-trades with experience bridging campuses and communities in pursuit of community engagement, workforce alignment, and economic development. She earned a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia Institute of Higher Education and is a Certified Personal and Professional Coach. Lauren lives in Nashville, loves to cook, and seeks balance with yoga.
Tyrell is a big believer in the agile approach, and his passion is in helping organizations grow and transform through projects. With 10+ years of leadership experience across technology, startups, and higher education, he can effectively use both agile and waterfall project management methodologies. He has experience using a variety of software suites, including MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Jive, Visio, Verint, and Salesforce.
Pocholo has over 8+ years of experience as a Software Developer. Throughout his career, he has primarily helped develop web applications for the federal government.
With a master's in Experience Design and over 7 years in the field, Lauryn is an experienced product designer. She thrives on challenging assumptions, creating impactful experiences, and connecting with people. Specializing in user-centric design, Lauryn goes beyond aesthetics, crafting stories and experience that resonate with often overlooked audiences. Her work is a testament to a commitment to inclusivity and a passion for making a meaningful impact through design.
Robert started his career with 7 years in the United States Air Force as an Avionics Technician where he slowly nurtured a passion for programming applications to help with daily activities. After taking the Software Engineering course from Hack Reactor he was able to break into application development as a career with Vantage Point Consulting.

Dorota is a data scientist (and enthusiast) with an extensive background in cleaning/wrangling, analyzing, and visualizing data, as well as creating dashboards to deliver key data insights. Dorota has a Master's in Applied Statistics, proficiency in R and SQL, and has years of experience teaching programming and statistical concepts to non-technical audiences. In her down time, Dorota loves to watch movies and play with her Boston Terriers.
