  • Establish an operational framework for strategic alignment of learning with organizational goals and measures, including -
    • Required job competencies
    • Knowledge and skills gaps
    • Targeted learning across job roles
    • Learning analytics and performance metrics
  • Leverage and extend ‘best practice’ strategies, methodologies, and emerging technologies for integrating learning with work
    • Modular learning content
    • Individualized learning roadmaps
    • Optimization of instructor-led and online-learning
  • Collaborate, align and integrate required learning capabilities and functionality with IT requirements, process reengineering, culture transformation.

At a more tactical level, Vantage Point develops and delivers custom training content to its client to support general and specialized skill building (leadership and project management).

We start training program and content development by working with our clients to answer the following questions:

  • Who is the intended target audience?
  • What are the skill gaps a client is working to close with cohorts of employees?
  • How do these skill gaps translate into desired objectives?
  • How will the training outcomes be measured?
  • Are there existing source documents within our client’s organization that can be leveraged for the training?
  • Is there existing external training content in the market (e.g., SkillSoft) that can be leveraged more economically to meet learning objectives?
  • What are constraints on training delivery (e.g., time, delivery format)
  • Based on learning objectives, what is the most effective way to meet outcomes (Structured classroom training, On-the-Job training, self-paced training, or a hybrid of these)

Next, we develop a detailed lesson outline for each learning objective that defines an approach to meeting the learning objective (types of content, assessment strategy, sample exercises).  We work with our clients to validate the training lesson outline for feedback prior to finalizing content for delivery.

Once signoff is approved on overall content design, we build out the lesson plan content to tailor it to our client’s unique culture, needs and constraints.  We make training interactive and experiential by incorporating exercises, rich handouts, and on-the-job reference guides into the training.

For instructor-led training courses, Vantage Point has professional trainers to lead its clients’ employees.  Vantage Point surveys class participant to assess how well learning objectives were met and to gather employee feedback.  This feedback is used to continually improve and refine course content to meet learning objectives and outcomes.
